 An Azeri-Turkish Business Forum will take place on December 3-4, said Azerbaijan Export and Investment Foundation (AzPromo). The event will take place during Turkish Minister of State Kursad Tuzmen’s visit to Baku. 90 Turkish and 100 Azeri businesspeople engaged in energy, transport, finance, healthcare, industry, construction, communications and other sectors will join the forum.

 All the parties in the conflict should make compromise in order to resolve conflicts in the Caucasus. “It is necessary to compromise in order to reach agreement.  The European Court on Human Rights has begun correspondence with the Azerbaijani government about four appeals filed about the 2005 parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, Intiqam Aliyev, who protects rights of petitioners in the European Court, said to Trend News. These appeals have been filed by the head of For Azerbaijan public forum Eldar Namazov, former speaker Yagub Mammadov, Namat Aliyev and Elchin Rzayev.

 The changes to the Constitution to lift article banning one person to run for presidency more than twice, can be discussed in the parliament. “If there is a proposal, changes to the Constitution will be discussed in the parliament,” Ali Huseynov, chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on Legal Policy and Statehood, said to Trend News. On 1 December, the forum of the national media outlets of the CIS countries “Media outlets and humanitarian potential of the Commonwealth of Independent States”, which is held by the Russian international news agency RIA Novosti in co-operation with the Intergovernmental Fund of Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS participating countries commenced in Moscow.

 Last preparations for the broadcasting of Media FM radio will end by December 20. Media FM radio won the competition announced by National Television and Radio Council on 105.7 MHz frequency in Baku and Absheron. Director General of the radio Tural Aliyev told APA that Media FM would be on air as from January 1. The Director General said though they had not announced competition, about 30 journalists applied for work

 “We are concerned that AIDS is becoming a young person’s disease in Azerbaijan,” Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov told APA. The Minister said the number of AIDS-infected young people increased compared with 2007. “In 2007 AIDS-infected persons aged 25-29 made up 13-15 percent of the patients, while this figure reached 20 percent in the ten months of this year. We should think seriously about it,” he said.

 Justice Minister of Germany plans to visit Azerbaijan next year. Azerbaijani Justice Ministry’s press service told APA that it was noted at the meeting of Ambassador of Germany Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Per Christopher Stankina with Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov. It was said that the above-mentioned government bodies of the two countries reached an agreement to prepare document on cooperation during the recent visit of Azerbaijani delegation to Germany
