 The global financial crisis may have a positive impact on Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector, said Rahim Huseynov, President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation. According to him, the crisis provides Azerbaijan-based non-oil companies with favorable conditions to penetrate world markets.

The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers approved regulations on call-up for active military service of Azerbaijani citizens from April 1-30, 2009, as well as staff of the Republic's draft board, the Cabinet of Ministers said.
