President Aliyev said in his speech at the Royal Institute of International Affairs that explored natural gas resources in Azerbaijan reached 2 trillion cubic meters, “There are enough reasons to say that this figure will reach 5 trillion cubic meters in near future due to the exploration of the new fields, which will make Azerbaijan’s gas resources enough for 100 years”.

 A summit dedicated to the signing of intergovernmental agreement on Nabucco project kicked off in Ankara, Turkey on Monday with the screening of the documentary about the project, APA correspondent reports from the summit. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, hosting and moderating the event, said the project would provide reliable transportation of natural gas from the Caspian and Middle East, including Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iraq and Egypt.

AZAL helicopter carrying the SOCAR workers crashed over the Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea at about a6.30 on July 12, SOCAR told APA-ECONOMICS. The helicopter crashed after takeoff from the fourth bloc of 28 May oil and gas production office in Chilov island to fly to the 13th bloc.

 Azerbaijan Air Lines (AZAL), State Oil Company, Ministry of Emergency Situations and General Prosecutor’s Office released official report on the helicopter crash over the Caspian Sea. According to APA, AZAL Mi-8 helicopter crashed over the Caspian Sea after the takeoff from the 4th bloc in the island of Chilov at about 16.30 on July 12. There were three crew members and three workers on board.
