 The Sate Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) plans to complete construction of new platform Oil Rocks-2521 on offshore Oil Rocks field by early 2010, a source in SOCAR said. Currently, the company continues construction of the platform. Particularly, the company conducts work on installment of platform's crest structure and equipment. Under favorable weather conditions for the construction, the company will complete construction in early 2010, the same source added.

 New tank field is expected to be filled with oil in the territory of oil and gas exploration department 'Oil Rocks' after celebration of 60-year-anniversary of offshore field of the same name, a source in SOCAR developing this field owing to own funds said on October 14.
