 A residential building at the center of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan caught fire on Friday. The incident happened in a five-storey building at Nizami Street in downtown of Baku. APA correspondent reports that three firefighting vehicles arrived in site and the fire was extinguished. Firefighters told APA that the fire was caused by oil remains in collected in smoke-duct of Shaurma café in the first storey of the building.

 Today an international conference on new technologies in oil-gas output organized by SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has commenced in Baku. In his speech, Fakhraddin Ismailov, director of Neftgazlayihe Scientific Research Institute (SOCAR) told about the institute’s activities.
