 The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (US), Igor Popov (Russia) and Personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Anjey Kaspshik will visit the region next week, APA reports. The visit will begin from Baku, and then co-chairs will leave for Yerevan and Khankendi.

 Armenian defense ministry responded ICRC’s questionnaire related to Azerbaijani Army’s serviceman Huseynov Roman Novruz, Spokeswoman for the ICRC Office in Baku Ilaha Huseynova told APA. To her, Armenian defense ministry confirmed the fact concerning the captivity of Azerbaijan Army’s lance sergeant, Huseynov Roman, born in 1985. Huseynova also added that recently, the ICRC representation in Armenia made efforts for meeting with the captive.

 “Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan knows very well that the occupied Karabakh and other regions have nothing to do with the Armenians.  Armenian Armed Forces' sabotage group crossed the contact line in the Chayli village in the Tartar region and attempted to attack on the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces at 16:30 Aug.31, the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry said. After Azerbaijani soldiers' seriously repel the Armenian side has lost three soldiers and several others were injured.

 Under the mandate of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the contact line of troops in the north of Ashagi Veyselli village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavend region has been monitored today. Spokesman for Defense Ministry Teymur Abdullayev told APA that no incident occurred during the monitoring.

 The European Court of Human Rights will hear a case concerning the applicants’ complaints that they were forced to flee from their homes in 1992 during the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh (“the NKAO”) 3, which, until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, was an autonomous province landlocked within the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic (“the Azerbaijan SSR”).

 17 years have passed since the occupation of Azerbaijan’s Gubadli region by Armenian armed forces. Gubadli, the region with 826 square km territory, was occupied by the Armenians on August 31, 1993, APA reports. 54 people were killed in the battles for Gubadli. 232 residents of Gubadli Region were killed and 146 became invalid during Karabakh war.

 The Azerbaijani side will discuss Russian-Armenian military agreement at the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. "Armament of the aggressor country on the basis of Russian-Armenian military agreement will be discussed as part of the autumn session with the OSCE leadership", head of Azerbaijani delegation in OSCE PA, Deputy Speaker Bahar Muradova told the official website of the ruling party "New Azerbaijan".

 The Baku Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) began investigating rumors that Azerbaijani Junior Sergeant Roman Huseynov was captured recently by the Armenian armed forces. The Yerevan Office of the ICRC was asked to clarify rumors in Armenian media that Huseynov was captured on Aug. 27, the ICRC Baku Office told Trend.

 Russia is ready to further continue its mediation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said at a joint news conference with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday, Vesti reported. Russia will contribute to finding a political solution to the conflict on the basis of mutually acceptable agreements, both within the OSCE Minsk Group and the bilateral contacts," Medvedev said.

 The United States is working for a just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with the norms and principles of the international law, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste A. Wallander said at the meeting with Azerbaijani vice Parliamentary Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov in Baku, the parliamentary press service reported.

 The term "frozen" is misleading when describing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative to the South Caucasus Goran Lannmarker said at a meeting with the organization's Azerbaijani delegation at a session this week.
