The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Ambassadors Robert Bradtke of the United States, Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, and Jacques Faure of France) and Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk (Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office) traveled on May 11-14 to Yerevan and Baku, where they met with Presidents Serzh Sargsian and Ilham Aliyev to discuss the most recent efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Minsk Group's statement published on OSCE website said on Monday.

On May 7, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation to Armenia visited the Azerbaijani serviceman held in Armenian captivity. Spokesperson for ICRC Delegation to Azerbaijan Shahla Gahramanova told APA that two Red Cross letters were given to the captive and one Red Cross letter was taken from him.

OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Robert Bradtke, Jacques Faure, Igor Popov and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk started their visit to the region. APA reports quoting Arminfo that the co-chairs have arrived in Yerevan today. Tomorrow the co-chairs will meet Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan and foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan. The visit of the co-chairs to Azerbaijan’s occupied territories, scheduled for today, was canceled because of the weather conditions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said the military parade held by Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan was provocation and destructive position. APA reports that while commenting this issue spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev told journalists that this fact could be assessed as provocation and negative step in the negotiation process: “Such destructive position shows that Armenian side is not ready to hold constructive negotiations.”

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) adopted a final document, which reaffirms the importance of resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan's territorial integrity at a ministerial in Egypt, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev said at a press briefing. "The final document was adopted by the NAM Coordinating Bureau on May 9," Abdullayev said. He said one of the items of the document confirms that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict poses a threat to stability and security in the region.

Copies of the "Khojaly-1992" book published by the Heydar Aliyev's Heritage Research Center on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in Azerbaijani, English, French and Russian have been included in the Library Fund at Harvard University, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science Fuad Babayev said. He said books prepared by the Heydar Aliyev's Heritage Research Center, are published not only in the Azerbaijani language, but also in the common foreign languages.

Shusha – town in the Mountainous Garabagh province of Azerbaijan, center of the administrative district (area – 289 km²). Founded by Panah Ali Khan in the 1750s, the ruler of Garabagh. Originally bore the name both of Shusha and Panahabad after Panah Ali Khan. Later Shusha turned into  the political and cultural center of the Garabagh khanate. Following the Russian occupation of Azerbaijan, Shusha became the administrative, economic and cultural center of the Garabagh province and one of the cultural centers of Azerbaijan. Shusha is the hometown of many prominent men-of-cultur of Azerbaijan.
