 All prisoners passed medical examination in Azerbaijan, Rafael Mehdiyev, Medical Department Head of the Justice Ministry told Trend News today. The purpose of medical examination of prisoners, kept in penitentiary facility 13, is to identify diseases at an early stage and to provide their treatment. During the examination special attention is paid to the timely diagnosis of tuberculosis, Mehdiyev said.

 Azerbaijani and Turkish believers will hold joint protest actions due to a decision on the so-called "Genocide of Armenians" made by the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs. "The Muslim Board for the Caucasus and the Turkish Religious Affairs Office will carry out joint actions due to the decision on the so-called "Genocide of Armenians"," Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade told media today.

 The Venice Commission is expected to adopt the opinions on the normative legal Acts of Azerbaijan at its 82nd plenary session, the Council of Europe reported. The Venice Commission which is a consultative body of the Council of Europe on constitutional issues will hold its session in Venice March 12-13. The Commission is advising member states on the basis of the international standards on the legal foundations of democratic societies.

 The Ministers Committee of the Council of Europe (CE) published the decision taken on the basis of discussions on the implementation of resolutions of the European Court of Human Rights by Azerbaijan and other countries March 10, CE reported.

 A restored Azerbaijani school was opened in Marneuli. Georgia's Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Shashkin went to Marneuli for this purpose, Georgia's Ministry of Education told Trend News. The school was restored with the assistance of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 Azerbaijan and Libya have signed the memorandum of understanding on the abolition of visas for people with diplomatic, official and special passports. The document was signed during the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Libya, which was held recently in Tripoli, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press-center said.

 3.5-magnitude quake hits Eastern Azerbaijan province of Iran in the morning on March 10, APA reports quoting IRNA. Geophysics Institute of the Tehran University said the quake center was in north of Sharbia City predominantly populated by Azerbaijanis.

The travelers’ warning says: “Though the number of the terror attacks have reduced in Iraq compared with the previous years, it is still dangerous to travel to this country. Especially travels to Baghdad, from its northern parts to Mosul and Kerkuk must be delayed. Travels to Basra, Maysan, Al Anbar, Salahaddin, Diyata, Wasit, Babil, Ninawa, Al-Qadisiyah, Muthanna, Najaf, Kerbela, Dhi Qar are also dangerous.

 OSCE PA President Joao Soares’ visit to South Caucasus begins on March 9. The visit is scheduled for March 9-16, beginning in Georgia, (March 9- 10), to be continued to Armenia (March 10-13), before ending in Azerbaijan (March 13-16), APA reports.
