 The Azerbaijani Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources conducted regular monitoring of pollution of transboundary rivers Kura and Araz in the third decade of August, the ministry told Trend. The flow of water in Kure declined by 17.6 cubic meters per second and was 89.6 cubic meters per second in the third ten days of August compared to the second one. |
 The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers reported that the Ramadan holiday will be celebrated in the country Sept. 9-10. Those days are announced day-off. The Haiti Emergency Relief Fund is a joint fund providing financial assistance to eliminate the consequences of emergency situations in Haiti. |

 Azerbaijan will use an e-information system during the parliamentary elections, the Central Election Commission (CEC) told Trend today. The elections will be held in early November. "Large-scale ecological events have been carried out since 2009 upon President Ilham Aliyev's initiative," he said. "Three million trees have been planted in Baku and the surrounding areas.
