Azerbaijani government has spent USD 4.6 bln for the refugees and IDPs over the last 20 years. USD 2.7 bln were spent on account of budgetary funds, USD 1 bln – on account of State Oil Fund, USD 900 mln on account of the international organizations”, said Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said at his meeting with the French Senate’s delegation. He noted that 70 modern settlements were built on account of funds allocated from the State Oil Fund. More than 120 000 families were settled to new settlements over the last 8 years.
He said that if the poverty level between the IDPs was 75% in 2003, now this number is 18%. In 2011, Azerbaijani government spent USD 900 FRO ONE IDP family: “It is the highest number spent for the IDP in all conflict zones of the world”. /APA/
