Parliament of Turkmenistan is working to further improve the legislation, including issues associated with the political parties, an official Turkmen source said. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov's recent address timed to the 20th anniversary of establishment of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan said that "in the near future Turkmenistan will have a multiparty system".
At the last government meeting, which discussed the parliament's report, it was stressed that MPs are also working on the preparation of the Code "On Administrative Offences", Housing and Family Codes, drafts of Budget Code and "Social Insurance" are under development, laws on migration issues are being improved, and preparation of a complex of legislative acts on copyright and state regulation of intellectual property.
Berdimuhammadov after hearing a report stressed "crucial importance of further work on improving national legislation given today's demands, realities of a new historical era."
The head of state stressed the need to further improve the forms and methods of parliamentarians' activity. /Trend/
