U.S. ups oil import from Azerbaijan In January-August of 2010, the U.S. imported about 15.5 million barrels of oil from Azerbaijan compared to about 13.6 million barrels in January-August of 2009, the report of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said. In August, the U.S. imported more than 2.5 million barrels of Azerbaijani oil compared to more than 1.24 million in August last year.
