“In 2026, consolidated budget revenues are forecast at approximately 45 billion manats, and expenditures are forecast at 48.8 billion manats. The overall budget deficit to GDP ratio is 2.9 percent,” said Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov as he addressed a plenary session of the Milli Majlis on December 9.

According to macroeconomic forecasts, a 5 percent real GDP growth rate is projected for the non-oil sector in 2026. All sectors of Azerbaijan’s economy are anticipated to grow, except oil and gas production.

“In the medium term, the driving force of our economy will be the non-oil sector. If at the beginning of the Strategy — in 2022 — the non-oil sector accounted for 52 percent of GDP (72 percent in 2025), this ratio will exceed 80 percent in 2029,” Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister emphasized.
