Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the heads of governments of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on the forthcoming 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, reads a message posted on the website of the Russian government.

Medvedev in his messages spoke about the memories of the Great Victory, unifying citizens of these countries. The messages read that courage and heroism of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, dedication of home front workers will forever remain in the hearts of the present and future generations.

He expressed confidence that the lasting traditions of friendship, laid down during the difficult period of war challenges, will continue to serve as a reliable foundation for the interstate relations.

Medvedev asked his colleagues to convey the wishes of happiness, prosperity and longevity to the frontline soldiers and home front workers, respect and gratitude for their unprecedented deed.
