Ganja Automobile Plant has manufactured the 10,000th tractor. Speaking at a ceremony to mark the occasion, Azerbaijani first Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Eyyubov said the foundation stone of the plant was laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev in 1986. “The plant resumed its activities after a long pause in 2004. The facility produced first “Belarus 80.1” tractor in March, 2007 on the basis of a bilateral agreement signed during President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Belarus.”

Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko emphasized that Ganja Automobile Plant and Minsk Tractor and Automobile plants are working on new projects on the export of Azerbaijan-made machinery to third countries.

“The production of 10,000 Belarus 80.1 tractors and around 3,000th MAZ lorries by Ganja Automobile Plant are real figures, which justify cooperation between the two countries,” added Semashko.
