Events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership program start today in Brussels.
Report informs that the Eastern Partnership (EaP) ministerial meeting will bring together EU foreign ministers and their counterparts from the six Eastern Partnership countries in Brussels on May 13.
The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will chair the meeting. Ministers are expected to highlight the importance of the Eastern Partnership.
On the evening of May 13, European Council President Donald Tusk will organize a reception in honor of the heads of state and government of the Eastern Partnership countries. The reception will also be attended by former foreign ministers of Poland and Sweden, who initiated the Eastern Partnership project, Radoslaw Sikorski and Carl Bildt.
A concert program will also be held in the Brussels Center for the Arts “Bozar”, where the Brussels jazz orchestra and musicians from the Eastern Partnership countries will perform.
On 14 May, a high-level conference will be held in the European Commission building chaired by the head of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker. The conference will be attended by the heads of state and government of the Eastern Partnership countries.
