A mine incident occurred on November 17 in the Bala Jafarli village of the Gazakh district, located in the border area with Armenia, the National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said in a statement.

According to the statement, Samir Mubariz oglu Imamverdiyev, an employee of the agency born in 1988, was injured when an anti-personnel mine exploded while he was performing his official duties. As a result of the incident, his right leg was amputated at the ankle.

Samir Imamverdiyev was evacuated to the Gazakh District Central Hospital. His condition is satisfactory, and he is not in a life-threatening condition.
