The members of JWG on Implementation of International Human Rights Standards in Azerbaijan has hold press conference today. According to APA, the member of the group Shahin Jamalov said that mobile hotline service operated in some regions from Jan 31 with the purpose of investigating the problems of the people in the regions in social, economic, civil, criminal, labour, corruption and other spheres. According to him, at the meeting held in Guba region and Ganja city they listened to the problems of the people in different spheres and accepted their written applications. S.Jamalov said they faced the pressure of the local executive powers while conducting hotline service in Jalilabad and Shaki: “The Shaki Executive Power locked the door of the building rented by JWG and did not create conditions for considering the people’s complaints and in Jalilabad the members of the group received the complaints until midday but after that the owner of the rented building told them to leave the place urgently”.
S.Jamalov said that the Executive power of the region put pressure on the owner of the building.
The member of JWG Vasif Movsumov spoke about the complaints of the people. According to him, most of the appellants complained about gas, electricity, education, corruption and dismissal. He said the complaints have been generalized and sent to the relevant agencies. According to him, JWG will further implement mobile hotline service in other regions as well. /APA/
