ACSDA finished the trainings in Ganja

On February 26, 1992, Armenian terrorists attacked on innocent people of Khojali with the help of former US soldiers and officers of 366th regiment. Hundreds of people were killed notwithstanding age or sex. Armenian aggressors didn’t take pity on women, children, even the old. Several Khojali people froze on the way to Agdam, running away from these aggressors. Khojali tragedy strained Qarabaq conflict and aroused much more hatred in Azerbaijani people against Armenian aggressors.
The Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA) started a wide-range action in this direction to achieve international legal appraisal for Khojali genocide, announcing 2006 “Garabag Year”. Within the frames of this action the Association began to gather signatures of millions of Azerbaijanis, living inside or abroad. These signatures and all the facts on Khojali tragedy– documents or video materials were sent to the parliaments of world countries and corresponding international organizations. These organizations were demanded to accept Khojali events as genocide. As the result of the activity of ACSDA, Milli Majlis formed a commission to achieve world-scale recognition of Khojali genocide and to make a statement on 15-years-anniversary of the tragedy.
ACSDA also offered to erect a monument in 2007, dedicated to the victims of Khojali tragedy, in the connection of 15- years- anniversary of the genocide. Together with it ACSDA prepared unical facts collection connected with Khojali genocide. About ten thousand copy of this collection were published and distributed to the world famous universities, libraries, world countries parliaments, and the diaspora centers of the Azerbaijanis, living abroad.
A book “Khojali Genocide 1992” was published in three languages. About 10 thousand copies of this book were distributed to the world-famous foreign universities and libraries, world parliaments, and Diaspora centers of the Azerbaijanis, living abroad. As the result, the book “Khojali Genocide 1992” won “Humay” prize, instituted by “Bakinets” International Culture Society.
The work on sending about 85 volume unique archive documents connected with Garabaq conflict, to International Crime Court was began together with ACSDA members as the Center for Defense of Refugees’ Rights (chairman Tatyana Chaladze) and Social Unity for Defense Migrants and IDPs Rights in Azerbaijan (chairman Nadir Abdullayev”. Electron version of the documents were prepared which collected within 4 years by popular Latvian journalist Tatyana Chaladze, the participant of Garabaq war, and the documents were translated into English. These documents were sent to the International Crime Court by stages.
At last on February 23 , ACSDA and Social Unity for Defense Migrants and IDPs Rights in Azerbaijan held a round table on topic “Khojali genocide: Armenian aggression against children, women and the old”, connected with 15-years-anniversary of Khojali genocide. The facts on Armenian aggression against children, women and the old during Khojali events were announced during the round-table.
