On November 7, the World Trade Center, the tallest skyscraper in Times Square, New York, was illuminated in the colors of the national flag of Azerbaijan to mark November 8 – Azerbaijan’s Victory Day.

The initiative was implemented by the Azerbaijan-American Youth Federation and supported by the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations (UN).

As part of the initiative, a car equipped with a LED display featuring the slogan “November 8 – Azerbaijan’s Victory Day!”, the map of Azerbaijan, as well as the Khari Bulbul flower – the pearl of Karabakh and a symbol honoring the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs – drove through popular locations in New York City, including Times Square, the UN Headquarters, and Bryant Park.

The initiative will continue throughout November 8.

It aims to strengthen solidarity among young people and promote Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage to an international audience.
