ACSDA completed the project in Lankaran
Observation group comprising European public organizations and NGO experts positively assess results of presidential elections in Azerbaijan
“ELS” and ACSDA ready to conduct “exit-poll” and “quick-count” researches at presidential elections

We addressed to the representatives of civil society, political parties to show their attitude to the points concerning pre-election situation, legislation and innovations. Our first interlocutor was Ilyas Ismayilov, MP, head of Adalat Party.

-Mr. Ilyas, is it necessary to make any amendments in election legislation of our country?
-First, any legislative act can’t be absolutely perfect. Certainly, it is possible to make any amendment in the legislation. But I consider that if there appear desire to hold democratic election, normal election can be held by means of present legislative act.
-Monitoring of elections is not held in various countries, especially in developed countries. Is it possible to hold election without any monitoring in Azerbaijan?
-We usually compare ourselves with other countries. However, you know that there appear different approaches after election. That’s why it is advisable to monitor elections in Azerbaijan.
-Opinions connected with increasing representation of women in new parliament are sounded….
-I think that it is not advisable to do anything artificially. If there are noble women with mentality of statehood, knowing the function of legislative power comprehensively, let they be elected. But, it is not advisable to elect anyone artificially.
-How do you show your financial support?
-We haven’t enough finance.
-How would you react if another member of your party nominated his candidate from the constituency that you were?
-It’s a normal state.
-Is there any fact like that?
-I don’t know exactly. Perhaps there won’t be.
-Mr. Ilyas, do the activities of international organizations satisfy you?
-No, they don’t
-Finally, we’d like you to show your attitude to the page prepared by ACSDA in newspaper 525.
-I’ve a positive attitude towards it.
