On February 19, 2014 at 11:00, theAssociation for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijanwill conduct the presentation of appeals addressed to international organizations by the residents of Agjabadi, Agdam, Barda, Goranboy and Tartar regions. The venue for the event is Beynalkhalg Matbuat Markazi (International Press Centre, Baku city, the avenue Matbuat, block 529, building 23)
Within the project“Sarsang – prevention of humanitarian catastrophe” of Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan, 3000 appeals addressed to international organizations by common people from Agjabadi, Agdam, Barda, Goranboy and Tartar regions have been collected and translated. They are being sent to their destinations. The appeals portrays the sufferings of people due to shortage of water, the anxiety of humanitarian catastrophe coming from the possible destruction of the dam as a result of the occupation of the Sarsang water reservoir by Armenia which is beyond the control of Azerbaijan.
The presentation will be attended by the representative of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Irrigation and Water Management, chief executives of administrative powers in Agjabadi, Agdam, Barda, Goranboy and Tartar regions, delegates of diplomatic agencies, international organizations, civil society organizations,
